Wealthy Scholar Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing youth with educational resources with a focus on financial literacy, mentorship, enrichment programs, and scholarships to thrive academically and beyond. We offer hands-on workshops, youth camps, and $500–$1,000 scholarships to help students reach their educational dreams. Our goal is to create opportunities and build a brighter future—one scholar at a time.

Desiree McClendon helps people take their power back. As the founder of DesRae’s Finance Academy and the Wealthy Scholar Foundation, she equips individuals and Rising Scholars with the knowledge, mentorship, and mindset needed to change their financial trajectory—and their life direction. Since 2019, her work has been rooted in empowerment, clarity, and creating real, lasting transformation.

Our Story
At the Wealthy Scholar Foundation, our mission is simple: to give everyone the knowledge, tools, and confidence to achieve financial freedom. Founded by Desiree McClendon, we provide workshops, scholarships, and mentorship to help youth and adults take control of their finances. From piggy banks to credit scores, we guide our scholars in turning dreams into reality and building a community of financially confident individuals ready to thrive.
